LOS ANGELES – Ann Kane Smith has left Greenberg Glusker Fields Claman Machtinger & Kinsella where she served as chair of the employment group.

On Jan. 20, she joined the Los Angeles office of Thelen Reid & Priest.

“I was attracted to Thelen because of its significant class action expertise and employment law expertise in California and national,” she says.

Smith had worked at Greenburg Glusker since June 1999. Before that she was a partner with Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton.

Smith represents companies in the retail, financial, automotive, and oil and gas industries.

I think the thing that Ann brings to the table is she’s practiced labor and employment in Southern California for many years,” said Thomas E. Hill, the managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office. “She’s got a great reputation and a great client base, and she’s got great personal qualities.”

Ann Smith was represented by Watanabe Nason & Seltzer.
