SAN DIEGO – San Diego’s Alexandra Mahaney, an intellectual property litigation attorney, has joined Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth as a partner.
She was formerly a partner with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
Mahaney has been trial counsel on numerous patent cases in various technological fields.
Her practice also includes counseling on all types of IP issues, including pre-litigation strategy, trademark and licensing. She also has extensive experience managing worldwide trademark portfolios.
In the life sciences field, Mahaney’s cases have included technologies such as pharmaceuticals (epilectic-seizure-inhibiting compositions; radioimmunotherapies for the treatment of lymphoma), biotechnology (methods of optimizing treatment of certain drugs by measuring metabolites levels, DNA probes, genetically engineered plants), and nanotechnology (electronically controlled array devices for genetic analysis).
Mahaney was represented in the transaction by Stacey Pacelli and Larry Watanabe of the legal placement firm Watanabe Nason.
